Permian Basin Area Foundation, Midland, Texas

Scholarship Funds

Please Note:
All applications must contain Fall 2009 semester grades.
All applications must contain at least one letter of recommendation.

Thanks to generous donors who have created scholarship funds, Permian Basin Area Foundation offers a variety of academic scholarships to those pursuing higher education and vocational opportunities. While most of the Foundation's scholarships are available to students originating from the Permian Basin region, each scholarship is unique in its focus and criteria.

Scholarships are generally awarded to graduating high school seniors. See individual scholarship criteria for additional information.

Students may apply to all scholarships in which they meet the criteria.

All scholarship applications must contain the following:

  • Transcript with fall semester grades
  • College transcript if student is enrolled in concurrent college courses
  • At least one letter of recommendation, but not more than three

Some applications require an essay.  Check the individual scholarship criteria to determine if an essay is required and the designated topic.

Upon receipt of a scholarship, all scholarship recipients will be required to execute and comply with a Scholarship Agreement.

All recipients must enroll as a full-time student (minimum of 12 hours).

After acceptance/enrollment documentation is provided to the Foundation, all scholarship awards are disbursed directly to the college or university the recipient is attending. It is the recipients' responsibility to ensure that the Foundation receives their proof of enrollment.

A recipient may receive other grants and scholarships provided this scholarship is still needed and recipient does not receive a full athletic or academic scholarship from the college they are attending.

Select your home county or field of study below for a list of scholarships for which you may be eligible to apply. Click on the scholarship name to see the criteria for the award. Carefully read the criteria before preparing and submitting an application.
