Permian Basin Area Foundation Announces $1.3 Million in Scholarship Awards
Midland, Texas (August 7, 2024) – Permian Basin Area Foundation is pleased to announce $1.3 million in scholarship awards and educational program support for the 2024-2025 academic school year.
The Foundation celebrates more than 400 scholars from communities throughout West Texas. In addition, there were 79 four-year scholarship recipients who graduated during the 2023-2024 academic year.
Since its inception, Permian Basin Area Foundation has awarded scholarships totaling more than $8.1 million to students pursuing their higher education aspirations. Permian Basin Area Foundation is proud to provide services to these students and honor the donors’ legacies throughout West Texas.

Organized in 1989, Permian Basin Area Foundation’s mission is to facilitate the creation of permanent charitable funds in partnership with many donors and provide grants to address community needs and enrich the quality of life in the Permian Basin. It uses these resources wisely and efficiently to respond to emerging and changing needs and to sustain existing nonprofit organizations through grants. The Foundation provides a flexible vehicle for donors with varied philanthropic desires.
