260 area students awarded
Midland, Texas (June 27, 2019) – Permian Basin Area Foundation announced $584,817 in scholarships at their annual scholarship dinner held at the Midland County Horseshoe Education Room.
Approximately 300 students, parents, donors, and community leaders attended this year’s event. Spencer Robnett, At-Large City Council Member, addressed the audience.
The Foundation celebrated 296 scholarship awards to students primarily from communities throughout West Texas. These scholarships were made possible by generous donors to the Foundation’s more than 85 endowed scholarship funds.
“Thanks to the continued support of numerous donors throughout West Texas, Permian Basin Area Foundation continues to provide increasing opportunities that positively impact thousands of lives in our communities,” commented Guy McCrary, Foundation president and CEO.
Since its inception, Permian Basin Area Foundation has provided services to donors and communities in West Texas. Grants and scholarships totaling more than $105 million have been awarded by the Foundation.
