Spring Grantmaking Exceeds $1.18 Million

grand-companions-1Permian Basin Area Foundation announced $1,182,495 in funding to nonprofit organizations serving the region during a news conference held at Museum of the Southwest on July 6th. The 2016 spring competitive grants cycle amount eclipsed the prior year by nearly $299,695.

Our nonprofits are a vibrant, active, and growing part of West Texas. Their work enriches our quality of life and reflects the character and caring nature of the people we call ‘neighbors’. The Foundation is very grateful to our donors and nonprofits for their passion and persistence.

The scope of programs funded by the competitive grants includes education and youth, health and human services, culture and arts, and community building.
