Permian Basin Area Foundation will host the eighth annual Golf to Honor tournament in memory of Marine Corps Second Lieutenant Patrick Wayland on August 24 at Hogan Park Golf Course. Proceeds from the event benefit the Patrick Wayland Memorial Scholarship Fund established with the Foundation in 2012 by Lieutenant Wayland’s family and friends.
The scholarship fund held at Permian Basin Area Foundation honors Patrick’s life as an outstanding scholar, athlete, Marine Corps officer, and man of faith and character. Four Midland High graduates received scholarships from the Patrick Wayland Memorial Scholarship Fund for the 2019-2020 college academic year.
