Multigenerational giving

Philanthropic giving is not just a goal for those approaching retirement. West Texans of all ages seek to give of their time, talents, and resources to enrich our communities and improve the lives of those who are underserved.

In particular, many young families, many of whom have benefited from the economic growth in the Permian Basin, are following in their parents’ and grandparents’ “footsteps.”

As demographics for charitable giving change, opportunities to make a difference increase. Today, parents from Baby Boomers to Gen X to Millennials are exploring ways in which to engage their children in philanthropy, to help them imagine their giving potential.
