    An agency endowment fund supporting the work of Hi-Sky Emmaus.


  • Hillcrest School - Bobby D. Cox Scholarship Endowment Fund

  • Horton Family Scholarship Fund for All America Chapter of National MS Society

  • J. Alex and Ruby Haggard Scholarship Fund

    Ruby Henson Haggard established the J. Alex and Ruby Haggard Scholarship to honor the legacy of her husband, Alex, who died in 2002.  Ruby, a lifelong Martin County (Stanton) resident, passed away in 2009.  Scholarships are provided to graduating seniors of Grady and Stanton high schools who enroll in a four-year Texas public institution of higher education.


  • J. M. Yater Memorial Scholarship Fund

    The J. M. Yater Memorial Scholarship, created by his friends and family, honors this longtime educator in Martin County schools. The scholarship is awarded to graduates of Martin County high schools who demonstrate a high level of success while striving to reach their educational goals.


  • Jacob Power Fighting Rebel Memorial Scholarship

    Created by his family and friends, this scholarship honors Jacob’s life as a young man who exemplified character, faith, kindness, and respect. A graduate of Lee High School, Jacob was fatally injured in a two-vehicle accident in July 2012. This scholarship provides financial assistance to graduates at Lee High School possessing these characteristics:
    – achieved academic success by graduating in the top 40 percent of the graduating senior class,
    – lettered in football while in high school,
    – demonstrates Christian character and good citizenship by personal behavior and participation in church and civic activities,
    – accepted to a college or university located in the United States.
    This scholarship is awarded at the end of each fall semester so it may be announced at the annual Football Banquet. Please see the Lee High School football coaching staff for more information.


  • Jal Public School Foundation for Education and Excellence Endowment

    An endowment fund supporting the work of Jal Public School Foundation.


  • James A. "Buddy" Davidson Charitable Foundation Client Services Endowment for Mission Center Adult Day Service

    An agency endowment for Mission Center Adult Day Service started by the James A. “Buddy” Davidson Charitable Foundation in support of client services.


  • James C. Pitts, Jr. Memorial Scholarship Fund

    An outstanding role model, James C. Pitts, Jr. devoted his life to the education of children. The James C. Pitts, Jr. Memorial Scholarship perpetuates his legacy of love, compassion, commitment and integrity. The scholarship, awarded to outstanding Midland Independent School District graduates, is based on the following criteria:
    – graduate of a Midland ISD school, with preference given to African American students,
    – financial need,
    – good character,
    – academics,
    – desire, dedication and leadership.


  • James L. and Judith A. Roberts Scholarship

    Created by former Fire Chief James Roberts and his wife, Judy, this scholarship provides benefits for graduating seniors from Midland County public high schools. To be eligible for consideration, students must attend a public college or university in the State of Texas, demonstrate school involvement and community service, and be a dependent child of: 1) a City of Midland employee, with preference given to an employee of the Midland Fire Department, or 2) a retired employee of the City of Midland as evidenced by the retiree being entitled to receive retirement benefits from Texas Municipal Retirement System, or Firemen’s Retirement and Relief Fund.


  • Jaycees Centennial Fund

    This fund, created by the Jaycees in 1989 supports the development and improvement of city parks and leisure facilities and/or community development projects sponsored by the Jaycees.


  • Jim and Reba Weatherbee Fox Scholarship Fund

  • Jimmie and Dorothy Davis Mashburn Scholarship Fund

    Jimmie and Dorothy created the Jimmie & Dorothy Davis Mashburn Scholarship to fund educational opportunities leading to a productive contribution to society and a valuable life experience  This scholarship is available to graduating seniors of Stanton High School. Preference given to students attending Midland College or a technical school.


  • Jimmy & Louise Stallings Scholarship Fund

  • Joe E. Morales Memorial Scholarship Fund

    Friends and business associates created the Joe E. Morales Memorial Scholarship in memory of the former Odessa District Engineer for the Texas Department of Transportation. Scholarships provide assistance to high school graduates pursuing a college degree. The one-time scholarship award is based on the following criteria:
    – child of a current or former employee of Texas Department of Transportation or student pursuing a college degree in civil engineering or a degree culminating in a career in the heavy and highway construction industry,
    – financial need,
    – good citizenship,
    – desire and dedication to succeed in a college environment.


  • Joe G. and Julia R. Roper Memorial Fund

    A designated fund supporting Hospice of Midland.


  • Joe M. Parsley Engineering Scholarship Fund

    Midland independent oil operator Joe M. Parsley created the Joe M. Parsley Engineering Scholarship for students enrolled in The University of Texas at Austin, Cockrell School of Engineering.

    To be considered for this scholarship, students should complete the scholarship section of the admission application for The University of Texas at Austin through ApplyTexas, marking Engineering as the first-choice major.


  • John and Rose Marie Healy Memorial Scholarship Fund

    John and Rose Marie Healy provided an estate gift to Permian Basin Area Foundation for college scholarships based on the following criteria:
    – graduate of Midland County high school,
    – financial need,
    – good character


  • John Seay Memorial Scholarship Fund

  • Johnny Peugh Memorial Scholarship Fund

    The Johnny Peugh Memorial Scholarship perpetuates the legacy of Johnny Peugh, a graduate of Sands High School and Texas A&M University. Johnny coached basketball at Grady and Sands high schools for 13 years. Scholarship awards are provided to graduating seniors of Grady High School.


  • Judge Lucius Bunton Memorial Law Scholarship Fund

    Senior U.S. District Judge Lucius Bunton served as a federal judge from 1979 until his death in early 2001. Established by his family and friends, the Judge Lucius Bunton Memorial Law Scholarship is awarded to students pursuing a degree in law based on the following criteria:
    – must be accepted to or currently enrolled in an accredited law school in the United States,
    – must be a high school graduate of one of the following 23 counties: Andrews, Brewster, Crane, Crockett, Culberson, Dawson, Ector, Gaines, Glasscock, Howard, Hudspeth, Jeff Davis, Loving, Martin, Midland, Pecos, Presidio, Reagan, Reeves, Sterling, Upton, Ward, or Winkler. Preference will be given to a student who was born and raised in one of these counties.


  • Junior League of Midland Building Endowment Fund

    An agency endowment fund supporting the building operations of the Junior League of Midland.


  • Junior League of Midland Morrow GEM Scholarship

    The Junior League of Midland Morrow GEM Scholarship honors Katy and Paul Morrow and a select group of active Junior League member’s dedication to community service. This scholarship will be awarded each fall based on the following criteria:
    – a senior graduating from a Midland County high school, with preference given to female applicants,
    – a student who has shown dedication to his/her community, as demonstrated through active volunteer service.
